My name is Natalia Ionescu, and I'm a graphic designer and illustrator based in Calgary. I graduated from Alberta University of the Arts with a Bachelor of Design.
With a focus on communication design and visual development, my illustrations explore a variety of stories, characters, and environments through a distinctly cute and playful visual approach. I'm motivated by the power of visual storytelling, and inspired by expressive figures, whimsical settings, and organic elements.
My education and experience has helped me establish an eye for detail, engage in professional relationships, and develop a distinct visual style.
Outside of designing, you'll likely find me traveling, trying new foods, or enjoying a relaxing video game!
