For Earth Day, I was commissioned to design an interactive cube sculpture as part of an educational installation aimed at teaching the local community about CrossIron Mills' sustainability efforts. Each panel represented one piece of a larger whole, reflecting CrossIron's multi-faceted approach to promoting a healthy future for the community and planet through increased technological efficiency and waste reduction measures. Bright colours, organic forms, and joyful figures combined and interlocked, encouraging engagement and discovery from viewers of all ages.
Continuing the visual theme of organic shapes, I also created tote bag designs that played with flowing, interconnecting lines in the form of roots, stems, petals, and leaves, representing the simultaneous fluidity and resilience of nature.
Part of a larger collaboration with local artists Madeline Yee, designer of the Eco Hub structure outer mural and pledge wall, and interior recycled can mural by Tyler Lemermeyer.
